The movie, Mufasa: The Lion King, is a great movie. Throughout the movie you experience an adventurous scenery with flashbacks and unique storytelling. It displays background information on characters we do not know a lot about. The way the story is structured is one of a kind and very interesting. The movie is fast paced and displays a variety of colors, visual effects, and CGI that elevates the movie experience even further.
Throughout the movie we see a variety of adventurous scenes as well as his ups and his downs consisting of betrayal, love, forgiveness, and resolution. We are given a desired destiny. The movie touches families hearts, is for all ages, showing the loving and unbreakable bond between the families. The movie’s hyper-realistic scenery displays a sense that you are there, with the characters.
We start off when Mufasa’s cub is in a storm and Rafiki comes to her aid. Rafiki starts off the movie by giving a flashback of Mufasa and how he came to who he is now. He talks about how Mufasa lost his parents, found a new family that he wasn’t accepted in with the exception of the families Mother and cub. They saw him as a stray and we experienced a variety of emotions and experiences. He eventually grows up and earns their respect through challenges and spends one-on-one time with the mother, learning skills other lions didn’t have.
After this experience, we see the cub of the Lion pack starting to get jealous of Mufasa because his mother is spending more time with Mufasa. A timeskip goes by and we see jealousy spike up even more. As jealousy grows we see hatred, injustice, and the cruelty in love. Betrayal rises when we see Mufasa having a closer relationship with Scar’s mother.
As this story progresses we see more and more conflict begin to unfold. As one thing happens another thing does. Mufasa and Scar having to abandon their pack due to its war with a superior type of lions. Scar betrays Mufasa and joins the other pack, attempting to kill Mufasa. Mufasa, being the main character, eventually defies the challenges and limits put upon him and defeats the evil.
This move presents the meaning of bond and what it means to be family. Having each others backs at all times, family is not by blood. Family is considered family through the bond you have. Truly a one of a kind movie, I highly recommend you try it.
